Young Designer Throw - Ouroboros by Jade Taylor
'Ouroboros', designed by Jade Taylor, formed as part of our 2022 Young Designer Throw competition. A winning design of 1310 entries within South Africa!
"‘Ouroboros’ is an ancient Greek symbol that depicts a serpent eating its own tail as a symbol and metaphor for rebirth/recreation and infinity. The sweeping arches represent the re-interpretation of the traditional ouroboros symbol: the lines follow a continuous path where they disappear and re-emerge into its former self, an infinite cycle of re-creation and dismantling of itself." - Jade
Pictured here is the designer herself, Jade Taylor, a skilful young graphic designer and photographer who has since become Something Good Studio’s Creative Assistant. Jade is enjoying her own Young Designer Throw at her home in Johannesburg.
