Artist Designed Blanket - Nenzima x TheUrbanative (King)

Designed in collaboration with TheUrbanative, this piece draws from their African Crowns Collection — inspired by the Mangbetu women of early 20th century Congo. Named after Queen Nenzima, a powerful figure within the Mangbetu court, the design reflects a culture where beauty, status, and identity were expressed through form — most notably in the sculptural silhouettes and distinctive coiffures of the women.

Elongated forms. Sculptural lines. A visual language rooted in strength, status, and beauty — reinterpreted through knit into something quieter, but no less powerful.

Now in king size — a long-requested addition. (We placed the first sample in a bedroom setting — it didn’t stay there for long.)

Knitted in natural cotton, it’s breathable enough for everyday use, with a weight and presence that feels grounding — a quiet kind of comfort you don’t question.
