Romaria collaborated with Mpho Vackier, a process engineer turned furniture designer and owner of award winning furniture and product design brand, TheUrbanative.
TheUrbanative is known for telling African stories through functional design.
While conceptualising our unified collection, we turned to the vast, untamed spaces and unimaginable beauty of Africa.
We have been dreaming of a long, luxurious coat for the longest time and here it is! 🫶
We design pieces with comfort, functionality and versatility in mind, and we definitely did not skimp on this one. The neutral yet eye-catching textured colour palette with black patterned cuffs is extra special. It's a coat for any occasion, for any season.
The Mito Long Coat is an exploration of patterns and textures typically observed on an African Sarafi. The name 'Mito' is a Swahili word which means 'rivers'. The repeated curved, ribbed lines resemble the forms and textures of flowing water.
Designed in Johannesburg.
Slowly, well made in South Africa. 🇿🇦
