Two Brands, WEAVING FORWARD TOGETHER

Welcome to Something Good Studio, the new home to both Something Good Homeware and Romaria Knitwear. Founded by Zydia Botes, Something Good Studio has conceptualised and brought to life stand-out textile pieces in collaboration with artists and designers since 2018. In 2019, Zydia joined forces with Carla Pinto to produce Romaria, a fashion and lifestyle knitwear collective where luxury meets comfort. Now, these two kindred and dynamic textile design brands can be found here, in one place.

We collaborate with artists & Designers

We are a collaborative studio, conceptualising and bringing to life stand-out textile pieces, from knitwear to design and collectable art. We work together with artists and designers whose work primarily portray a visual language of playfulness. Recent collaborators include designer TheUrbanative and artists Lulama Wolf, Maja Maljević, Renée Rossouw and Ditiro Mashigo.

We work on custom projects

We provide a customised design service for special projects and occasions. We work with various textile manufactures, craftsmen in South Africa to create standout textile pieces, making use of our relationships and knowledge acquired over time to approach new projects in the most professional and efficient manner. Some of our clients include luxury 5 star hotel, Kruger Shalati, and art galleries such as Goodman Gallery and Berman Contemporary.

We're Weaving Forward together

In community, we use art and design to make a positive impact in the lives of our clients and collaborators, and in the process bring awareness to remarkable craftsmanship. Our textile pieces – while maintaining the European and South African influence of our joint heritage – are proudly made in South Africa of locally sourced natural fibers and wonderful quality to be enjoyed throughout all seasons.

Slowly, well made in South Africa

Our textile pieces are made slowly and well on a small scale in South Africa, and consist of natural fibres and remarkable stitch games. We don't chase seasons or trends. We celebrate timeless quality to be enjoyed throughout all seasons.
