Hello! Thanks for popping in!
Something Good Studio is a fresh, Proudly SA art collab.
We are celebrating local artistry by collaborating with SA talent, curating iconic art pieces to be woven into a beautiful and versatile blanket/throw.
Together with our collaborating all-girl illustrators / artists, we have created a bespoke range of playful, limited edition blankets, to be exhibited and sold worldwide, for use in the home, for picnics, sunning on the beach or to hang on the wall as art.
Each art piece represents a deeper, happy & hopeful meaning, and the user should be mindful of what each blanket represents.
The core of Something Good Studio is rooted in South Africa, and every aspect of the brand reflects that, with a contemporary twist.
Ethically produced in Cape Town, supporting & celebrating local craftsmanship, using fibres sourced from local farmers.
Something Good Studio launched at No End Art Gallery in April 2018, and since walked away with the Best Surface Award at 100% Design in August 2018.
The first range of 6 artworks were created by Karabo Poppy Moletsane (image below), Fran Labuschagne, Renee Rossouw, Janet Lightbody, Tammy Joubert & an in-house design by SMTNG GOOD. Keep your eyes peeled for more exciting collaborations to follow!
By purchasing a blanket, you are supporting women in the South African art industry, uplifting a small up-and-coming business as well as local manufacturing.
Vision : Charity Blankets
“Giving is not just about making a donation. It is about making a difference.”
A huge part of our vision is to create a range of charity blankets by means of sponsorship – to be given to anybody & everybody in need. Everyone needs a blanket, it is a basic necessity – why not make it a fabulous one?
